Neighborhoods Resource Center

The Neighborhoods Resource Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting Nashville residents in the formation and development of neighborhood-related organizations. NRC assists residents by providing information, leadership training, consulting, and supportive services, as well as by forming collaborative relationships with, and providing support to, institutions that serve neighborhoods.

Regional Transportation Authority

The Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) is a government-funded agency that provides ridesharing opportunities to residents living in the nine-county area surrounding Nashville, Tennessee. Created in 1988, the RTA exists to promote economic growth and improve air quality in Middle Tennessee. The mission of RTA is to offer the citizens of Middle Tennessee choices and alternatives on how they commute to work each day and to coordinate local regional transportation services. By maximizing federal, state, and local funds with fares, RTA provides and/or manages regional commuter bus service, hundreds of vanpools and carpools, and Tennessee’s first commuter rail service, the RTA Music City Star.

Nashville Metropolitan Transit Authority

The Nashville Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA) is a public transit bus system that serves Nashville-Davidson County, Tennessee. MTA programs include: bus service (most of the routes go to the downtown Music City Central indoor bus station); AccessLink (door-to-door paratransit service operating specialized van services for people with disabilities); Park-N-Ride (riders may park their cars in a designated parking lot and ride the bus to Nashville); and Bus Link (on-demand service in which a customer calls a shuttle to pick them up and transport them to a bus link location near their destination).
